Adastral Park
Chestnut Class had a fabulously inspiring day today at Adastral Park. They started the morning by seeing a self-drive bus negotiate itself around the car park and then exploring this concept by programming their own Edison robots to stop at bus stops and pick up passengers. Next, the class were able to take their microbit skills to the next level by programming them to detect that soil was too dry, so the farmer needed to water their plants or the atmosphere was too dark, so the farmer needed to give their plants more light. After lunch, the children enjoyed listening to why a technology career is suitable for both genders during an inclusivity workshop. We finished the day on a high with the showcase workshop where we got to investigate many 'wow' moments with some very clever and helpful technology. The children all enjoyed the day and represented the school excellently with their wonderful and polite behaviour.
