Rocket Fuel in Science

In Science today we were investigating which solids and liquids would combine best together to fuel a rocket into space. Firstly, the children applied their knowledge of chemical  and irreversible changes to predict which two liquids and solids would create the biggest reaction and therefore the best rocket fuel. Next, the children experimented with mixing 4 different mixtures together and observed the reactions and chemical changes that took place. Finally, we headed outside to test the best voted rocket fuel mixtures inside film canisters. There were some very explosive reactions!!!
