Sun safe assembly
We had a visit this morning from Cancer Support Suffolk who delivered a sun safe assembly. They say" We all want our children to be able to learn and play outdoors, but as educators we need to support children to know the risk of UV. By teaching sensible sun protection habits from an early age and implementing sun protection measures, schools can play a significant role in reducing skin cancer risk. We can begin to evoke a much-needed culture change and shift in attitudes towards sun safety. This will significantly reduce the soaring rates of skin cancer cases and deaths in the UK for our future generations."
